Aledda was convicted of the misdemeanor in 2019.In the opinion filed Wednesday, the 3rd District Court of Appeals cited Aledda s inab stanley cup ility to share information about his SWAT training under Assistant Police Chief Angel Rivera as the reason for a new trial. While the state was allowed to present evidence as to how other officers on the scene responded to the situation, and how  shocked  those officers were that Aledda fired his weapon, the trial court s challenged evidentiary ruling precluded Aledda from presenting a key ingredient of his defense,  Wednesday s rulingsaid.                Jonathon Aledda cries during the testimony given by Cornelius Lattimore at Aledda s sentencing hearing on July 3, 2019.                                                      Jennifer King/Miami Herald/Tribune News Service via Getty Images                                        The incident in question occurred on July 18, 2016, after Arnaldo Rios-Soto, an autistic man, ran from his group home with a silver toy t stanley cup ruck in his hand.  LAS VEGAS - The Riviera Hotel and  air max Casino - the Las Vegas Strip s first high-rise that was as famous for its mobster ties as its Hollywood personification of Sin City s mobster past - officially exited the scene early Tuesday with a cinematic implosion, complete with fireworks. The 24-story Monaco Tower was dem yeezy olished around 2:30 a.m. when a series of explosions sounded, followed by the building crumbling from the sides and then into the middle, kicking up a mountain of dust.A fireworks display erupted moments before the demolition.                                         The Riv  closed in May 2015 after 60 years on the northern end of the Strip. The shuttered casino s owners, the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, spent $42 million to level the 13-building campus.                The 24-story Monaco Tower at the shuttered Riviera Hotel  Casino is imploded on June 14, 2016 in Las Vegas, Nevada.                                                      Ethan Miller/Getty Images                                  ugg        Officials said the Monte Carlo Tower will be imploded in August. The tourism agency bought the 2,075-room property across 26 acres last year for $182.5 million, plus $8.5 million in related transaction costs, with plans to expand its Las Vegas Convention Center.        The Riviera s implosion marks the latest kiss goodbye to what s left among the relics to Vegas  mobster past. Ironically, the Riviera is as famous for its imaginary self as much as its actual

GREENWOOD, Miss.  AP  鈥?A grand jury in Mississippi has declined to indict the white woman whose ac stanley cup cusation set off the lynching of Black teenager Emmett Till nearly 70 years ago, despite revelations about an unserved arrest warrant and a newly revealed memoir by the woman, a prosecutor said Tuesday.A Leflore County grand jury considered evidence and testimony regarding Carolyn Bryant Donhams involvement in the kidnapping and death of Till, Leflore County District Attorney Dewayne Richardson said in a news release. After hearing more than seven hours of testimony from investigators and witnesses, the grand jury determined that there was not sufficient evidence to indict Donham, Richardson said. Charges of both kidnaping and manslaughter were considered. The news that the grand jury had declined to charge Donham makes it increasingly unlikely that she w stanley cup becher ill ever be prosecuted for her role in the events that led to Tills death.A group searching the basement of the Leflore County Courthouse in June discovered the unserved arrest warrant charging Donham, then-husband Roy Bryant and brother-in-law J.W. While the men were arrested and acquitted on murder charges in Tills subsequent slaying, Donham, 21 at the time and 87 now, was never taken into custody. In an unpublished memoir obtained last month by The Associated Press, Donham said she was unaware of what would happen to the 14-year-old Till, who lived in Chicago and was visiting relatives in Missis Maun Mad Max  actor Hugh Keays-Byrne dies at 73
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has signed legislation Wednesday that prohibits a woman from getting an stanley becher  abortion once a fetal heartbeat is detected. The measure effectively bans most abortions in the state. The measure also allows anyone in the state to sue an abortion provider or others who  aid and abet  an abortion in violation of the new law.Abbott signaled his support early on for the measure, and after it passed easily through the Republican-controlled state Senate and House, the governor signed it Wednesday at an event that was closed to members of the press.Abortions will only be allowed in Texas before the presence of a fetal heartbeat, baring a medical emergency. A fetal heartbeat can usually be detected around six weeks gestation, or about six weeks from a woman s last menstrual period.  Our creator stanley thermobecher  endowed us with the right to life, and yet millions of children lose their right to life every year because of abortion,  Abbott said during a live video of the ceremony shared to Facebook.  In Texas, we work to save those lives and that s exactly what the Texas Legislature did this stanley website  session.             The heartbeat bill is now LAW in the Lone Star State. This bill ensures the life of every unborn child with a heartbeat will be saved from the ravages of abortion.  Thank you @SenBryanHughes, @ShelbySlawson,   txlege for fighting for the lives of the unborn in Texas. pic.twitter/aolhUKM9tvmdash; Greg Abbott  @GregAbbott_TX  May 19, 2021    The new law will go into effect Sep
