PORTAGE, Wis. 鈥?A suspect took a deputy on a chase through a farm field in Columbia County.According to a
stanley becher news release from the Columbia County Sheriff s Office, a deputy tried to pull the driver over for a speed violation. That was along Kent Road in Dekorra Township on May 2.The sheriff s office says the drive
stanley cup r drove through several farm fields as they tried to get away; the deputy, with their squad car dash camera on, followed.But the suspect s vehicle became disabled after leaving a farm pasture. The deputy then pinned the suspect s vehicle with their squad car, to stop the suspect from continuing to drive away. The driver was taken into custody. There was also a passenger in the vehicle.The 29-year-old suspect has yet to be formally charged and so TMJ4 News is not naming them.The sheriff s office s video is edited and does not show the full pursuit.

The trial of four men charged with conspiring to kidnap Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer continues this week.An FBI agent who was working undercover says two key people in the plot to kidnap Michigan s governor were excited to get their hands on explosives.Tim Bates testified Monday in federal court in Grand Rapids, Michigan, on the 11th day of trial.Prosecutors will also present any evidence they have left.Four men are charged with conspiring to kidnap Whitmer in 2020.The government says they were armed extremists angry over Whitmer s COVID-19 policies.In summer 2020, Bates was working undercover as Red. He fooled the group into believing that he knew someone in the mining industry who could get high-grade explosives.Last week, the prosecution had two star witnesses take the stand 鈥?both men who pleaded guilty to plotting to kidnap Whitmer.They were

That s something that could tack on prison time to his deal.Under Garbin s plea deal, he would serve six years in prison, but i
