Akji Why The Dalai Lama Is Hinting That He Could Be The Very Last One
WALLINGTON, N.J. - As the flood waters receded, weary residents across the Northeast began pulling soggy furniture and ruined possessions onto their front lawns as they surveyed the damage wrought by  stanley cup spain Hurricane Irene. The mess of destroyed furniture on Paul Postma s front lawn looked like a yard sale gone wrong. Over the weekend, Postma had watched as more than two feet of rain filled the bottom level of his home in Lincoln Park, N.J. On Wednesday, he was using bleach to wipe down the house s mud-soaked walls. None of this has value,  he said.  At least not anymore. On Sunday, President Obama will visit Paterson, N.J., where currents of the Passaic River swept through the city of 150,000, flooding part of downto stanley cup wn and forcing the emergency evacuations of hundreds of people who likely underestimated the storm s ferocity.Irene leaves toxic sludge in New Jersey homesWatch: Dramatic Hurricane Irene videosComplete coverage: Hurricane Irene        Leon D stanley quencher upas and his family haven t seen their home in Paterson since the storm hit, displaced by the flooding to the safety of a neighbor s house.  Probably tomorrow I ll go back and take a look at the damage. I estimate its gotta be two-and-half, three feet of water in the house,  Dupas told CBS News correspondent Michelle Miller.Dupas is assuming the worst about the havoc wreaked upon his family home.  It s gotta be in the tens of thousands. We lost the bathroom, the kitchen, two bedrooms, dining room, living room, all the furniture, every Alwm Windows on the World - then, and now
For a show about law enforcement being unable to keep up with criminal technology, Almost Human can be a bit weak when it comes to its technology-aided crimes. Fortunately, the series is much better when it turns back to its real heart: rob stanley thermos mug ots and how  stanley bottles they interact with human beings.     It feels like Almost Human has been gone for longer than it has been, with some of the earlier episodes from the production slate thrown into the middle of the season. But it   great to see the show returning on such a strong note, working on its robot issues and giving us a tiny peek at the larger world of the City. We ;ve had a lot of conversations in the recaps and in the comments about why the world of Almost Human feels a b stanley quencher it culturally stunted in places. Should we simply accept it as the 1980s retrofuture and be done with it  Or is there a method to the show   madness  This episode suggests the latter, making much of a part of the City that has been mentioned several times in passing but has just advanced to significant plot point: the Wall. The Wall separates the section of the City where our heroes live from some other, mysterious鈥攁nd apparently undesirable鈥攕ection of the City. This begs the question: What happened to the City  What is going on outside of the Wall  And has the City somehow stalled or regressed as a result  For now, though, we ;re concerned with robots. I ;ve been wanting Almost Human to turn its lens more on Dorian and his personal struggle
