NEWARK, N.J. An internal audit by the Transportation Security Administration gave failing grades to agents at Newark Liberty Airport, adding to a long list of security concerns the New Jersey airport has dealt with. The recently released audit found that Newark TSA agents followed proper pat-down procedures just 16.7 percent of the time and confiscated banned items from carry-on luggage just 25 percent of the time, a stanley isolierkanne ccording to CBS New York affiliate WCBS. Obviously that s a big problem,  David Katz of the Global Security Group told CBS correspondent Marcia Kramer Monday.  Newark does seem to have more than its fair share of security issues. Last May, Homeland Security officials said Newark Liberty was the worst of si stanley cup x major airports when it came to security breaches. In June, TSA screeners were fired for sleeping on the job when they were supposed to be searching for explosives.        And in August, more than 100 flights were cancelled after a passenger made it through a checkpoint without being screened properly. The airport was similarly shut down stanley cups  for over an hour in April after it was discovered a baby wasn t properly screened.Newark named worst airport for flight delaysReport: Newark TSA screeners targeted Mexicans Airport screener stole thousands of dollars from passengers at NewarkKatz said he is worried the vulnerabilities exposed in the latest audit may be an open invitation to terrorists looking for a place to strike.  Holy crap, somebody invented something that makes Google Glass seem cool. The augmented reality wizards at Metaio just showed off their Thermal Touch technology, a new kind of user interface that basically turns the whole world into a touchscreen. It looks pretty futuristic.     The idea itself is surprisingly simple. Whenever you touch something, you leave behind a heat signature that can be picked up by an infrared camera. Thermal Touch technology registers that heat signature and treats it, well, kind of like a click. So you could be reading a magazine, see a picture of an item you like, touch it, and go straight to a web page where you can buy it. https://youtube/watch v=t1HmYNqp8NM Thermal Touch is honestly not that different than vaso stanley  your smartphone screen. Whereas that technology uses capacitive sensors to detect the electricity in your stanley spain  finger, Thermal Touch uses heat. But the kicker is, there   no edge to this screen. The entire world is suddenly clickable and interactive. It makes the most sense to combine this sort of capability with something like Google Glass, though Glass would need a better camera. There   another kicker, too. Metaio built the prototype by simply combining existing technology and writing some new software. The company says that Thermal To stanley hrnek uch could be on the market within five years, though it   unclear if they ;ll actually take it that far. Either way, it   good to see augmented reality get a little more real鈥攁nd useful.
