The two are called in after all the actual interesting action has happened鈥攁 negotiation between a group of Federation scientists and the silica-based Scrubble society theyve found on the planet Jengus IV, and their colonies of fantasy-revealing psychic rocks鈥攊n order to clear up the mess left behind, as the Cerritos and Carlsbads captains lo stanley mug ok over the final details of peace between the Scrubbles and scientists.     Image: Paramount So far, so very Star Trek. The Lower Decks layer comes in when, as the two teams of ensigns from each ship beam down to perform cleanup鈥攖eam Carlsbad on dismantling the scientists outpost, team Cerritos  consisting of Boimler, Mariner, and Rutherford while Tendi has an actual job to do back on the ship  cleaning up the aforementioned psychic rocks鈥攚e discover that the Carlsbad ensigns have a bit of a short attitude with our crew. It turns out they know the Cerritos reputation, and it makes them want to get on with their jobs. Naturally, this hurts Bomiler, Mariner, and Rutherford, but theyre also Boimler, Mariner, and Rutherford, so it quickly descends into chaos as they try t Xsah Brandon Sanderson   s Giant Fantasy Universe Is Coming to the Big Screen
 I had already pretty well given up on Sleepy stanley cup nz  Hollow, whose third season had managed to get even worse after its impressive awful second season squandered all the shows promise  and most of its premise . I was only watching the few remaining episodes out of momentum, mostly, fast-forwarding through the stanley mugs  many, many, many bits that didnt include the shows two leads, Abbie Mills  Nichole Beharie  and Ichabod Crane  Tom Mison .     That just underscored the shows main problem: The seasons overarching battle against the shockingly uninteresting foes was a waste of time. But whats kept fans watching has been the foundational Abbie/Ichabod p stanley cup artnership鈥攚hich has been the foundation of the entire show. What Sleepy Hollow did was kill that relationship, forever, by killing off Abbie. Yes, half of what made the show so damn good in the first place鈥攁nd half of what kept us watching even as the series slid from mediocrity to abject badness is gone, forever, and the show even managed to make this event as horrible as possible. It would have been irritating enough that Abbie sacrificed herself to save the world from season threes infuriatingly generic villains, but this is literally the second time shed done it this season. Her exit wasnt even original for season three, and Sleepy Hollow didnt鈥攁ctually, it couldnt鈥攇ive viewers a decent explanation of why this time she was super-permanently dead but the last time she died it was no big deal.
