Xusl Here   s What Earth Looks Like From Space On The Summer Solstice
Between all the Battlefront and Star Wars excitement last week, I spent  stanley travel mug my weekend hooking up my Dualshock 4 to the PC and playing me some Battlefront 2! I loved the old Battlefront games, and spent hours and hours endlessly playing them on my PS2. Guess what: it totally holds up. Theres still something gleeful about charging headlong into the blaster fire of 32 Imperials  something you never got on the PS2, where the highest cap was 16v16 , tearing stuff up as some classic John Williams blares. The new Battlefront looks amazing, but I can satiate my excitement until I can get my hands on that by firing this up every once in a while. Pew pew pew! New Releases! Another quiet week as video games forget to come out on a regular basis for a bit, but theres one bit of a surprise: Assassins Creed Chronicles: China, a 2.5D platforming spinoff of the massive  Stab dudes in the face and neck  franchise, on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Aside from that though, its mainly a Sony week, with a variety of digital downloads coming to the Vita, PS3 and PS4. The PS4 gets Infinity Runner, LA Cops, Ziggurat and Shovel Knight  also cross-buy on Vita and PS3 , the PS3 gets the remake of Oddworld: Abes Oddysee, and the Vita gets Sayonara UmiharaKawase +.  In the beginning, Earth-Two wasnt Earth-Two: it was just Earth. Back in the 1940s, comics were in what was called their  Golden Age,  the superhero comic boom that saw the birth of iconic heroes like Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman. But as the 1950s came along, the superhero fad died down, and comic books moved on to other trends, like westerns and horror anthologies. DC ultimately scrapped many of its superhero comics, and only what is now referred to as their  Trinity   Wonder Woman, Batman, and Superman  made it out of th stanley cup usa e 40s in one piece. By the 1960s, superheroes had become a dominant force in comic books again, and DC felt reenergized to break out their roster of heroes introduced in the 40s, but with a twist. The magic and mysticism that provided the basis for many heroes like Hawkman and Green Lantern was erased, replaced by new origins rooted in science fiction. DCs bizarre reboot didnt just change origins, it changed so much that this new roster of heroes was similar to their Golden Age counterparts in name and power only. Now Green Lantern was a space cop named Hal Jordan instead of Alan Scott. Carter Halls human Hawkman became a Thanagarian alien named Katar Hol.
