Confessions was released on June 5 on 266 screen, earning $45.1m  Y3.79b  so far. Its run also boasted four weeks in the number one position, with unprecedented week-on-week increases in per screen averages during the first month. It remains in release on 35 screens in the territory.Based on  stanley cup Kanae Minatos eponymous best-selling novel, Confessions stars Takako Matsu as a junior high school teacher who plots a disturbing revenge on two of her students after they murder h stanley cup er young daughter. Remake rumours have also surfaced.
