 Iranian auteur Jafar Panahi will preside over the competition jury of the 33rd Montreal World Film Festival  MWFF . Panahi is best-known for such works as the Camera dOr-winning The White Balloon, The Circle and Offside.MWFF president Serge Losique said the appointment fits the festivals long history of championing Iranian cinema.  Lynn Shelton s We Go Way Back has won the 2006 Grand Jury Award for best narrativefeature at the Slamdance Film Festival, while Philippe Diaz  Empire In Africa has taken corresponding documentaryhonours.The Grand Jury Prize for best narrative short went to Peter Templeman sThe Saviour, and theaward for best documentary short was presented to Lila Place stanley mug  for Under TheRoller Coaster.
