stanley uk ollege Arts Ed is launching a new acting course specialising in film and television.The introduction of the course comes in response to research which shows that 60% of paid work now comes from screen acting as opposed to theatre work.The three-year bachelor of arts degree has been designed to meet the demands made on actors in the twenty first century. It will comprise of 50% screen training and 50% theatre training.Michael Bray, director of the school of acting at ArtsEd says: For actors to succeed, and more importantly to work in the 21st century, they need to know how to work in theatre, film and television. It is crucial that todays actor gets a fully rounded training, and that means at least fifty percent film and televisionand fifty percent theatre training, which for the first time ArtsEd will deliver with their BA Hons Acting for Film and Television.
