Adding to a string of MIFED deals, German distributor Advanced Medien has added two more titles to its 2001 release slate: Majid Majidi s award-winning film The Colour Of Paradise and Dito Tsintsadze s Lost Killers.Paradise, acquired from Menemsha Entertainment, has enjoyed successful runs in a number of countries, but in Germany has so far only been shown at the Berlin, Hamburg and Munich festivals. The deal was grabbed on the eve of the London film market along with another, previously announced acquisition from Menemsha, Fridrik Thor Fridriksson s Angels Of The Universe.German title Lost Killers is being sold internationally by new sales house Orfeo Films - a joint venture between World Sales Christ Saredi and Germany s Pandora Films. The film appeared in Un Certain Regard at Cannes this year.At MIFED, Advanced bought Winchester Entertainment s big-budget romantic comedy Heartbreakers, which stars Gene Hackman, Sigourney Weaver and Ray Liotta ScreenDaily, Oct 30 .During Mifed, Advanced s 51% subsidiary Unified Film Organisation U.F.O. launched Consolidated Motion Pictures, a new production subsidiary headquartered in Los Angeles.
