 Key indie distributor Avalon has picked up several titles at Cannes for Spain, including UK sci-fi film Attack The Block and Mexican drama Miss Bala.Spanish outfit Avalon Distribution, headed up by Enrique Costa, has had a busy Cannes picking up Joe Cornish popular action adventure film Attack The Block, starring Nick Frost, Jodie Whittaker and Luke Treadaway, from StudioCanal, about a gang of youths in London who take on aliens and Michael Radfords critically acclaimed music documentary Michel Petrucciani about the late jazz pianist from Wild Bunch.Avalon has also picked up Emmanuel Mourets French comedy The Art Of Love, starring Francois Cluzet, from Kinology and Gerardo Naranjos popular dramaMiss Bala about an aspiring beauty queen, played by Stephanie Sigman, who gets  stanley cup caught up in a criminal  stanley uk gang in Mexicos ongoing drugs war, which world premiered in Un Certain Regard and is being handled by Fox International.
