Leonardos helicopter division has secured another order for its AgustaWestland AW189 super-medium rotorcraft from RN-Aircraft, a subsidiary of oil giant Rosneft. The deal for 20 AW189s follows a similar pact announced in July 2015 for 10 examples of the 8.3t helicopter. However, the majority of the latest batch will be the first of the GE Aviation CT7-powered rotorcraft to be produced by Moscow-based HeliVert at its Tomilino plant. Deliveries are due to begin in 2018.Originally a 50-50 joint venture between Leonardo and Russian Helicopters assembling the AW139, the partners agreed to restructure the shareholding last year to admit Rosneft to the venture. Leonardo now holds 40%, with other parties each owning 30%.Leonardo Helicopters says it pla stanley deutschland ns to assemble an initial 13 helicopters for RN-Aircra stanley deutschland ft at its main Vergiate, Italy, factory with the remainder then built at HeliVert. But, it says that if AW189 as stanley thermos sembly can be ramped up more quickly in Russia, then those proportions may change.HeliVert needs to obtain production certification for the new type before work can commence, however, a milestone previously scheduled for this year.RN-Aircrafts orders derive from a 2014 framework agreement with Rosneft where it indicated it could take as many as 160 AW189s in the period to 2025.Source: FlightGlobalTopicsHelicopters                                                Related articles                                                                                                       Kpfe LHT-MTU pick Rzeszow for geared turbofan overhaul
BOSTON  AP  鈥?Brown University has rejected a proposal to divest from 10 companies that protest gourde stanley ers say were facilitating the Israeli occupation of Palestinian territory. The vote Tuesday by the Corporation of Brown follows a committee report recommending against divesting partly because the university has little investment in them and the amount it does would not cause social harm. The report estimated the school had no direct investment into the companies, which included Airbus, Boeing, General Dynamics Corp and and General Electric Co., and that about 1% of its endowment was indirectly invested in the companies.. If the Corporation were to divest, it would signal to our students and scholars that there are approved points of view to which members of the community are expected to conform,  University Chancellor Brian Moynihan and President Christina Paxson said in a joint statement.  This would be wholly inconsistent with the principles of academic freedom  stanley becher and free inquiry, and would undermine our mission of serving the community, the nation and the world. Last spring, the university committed to an October vote by its governing board on a divestment proposal, after an advisory committee weighed in on the issue. In exchange, student protesters agreed to dismantle their encampment on campus.Ahead of the vote, Niyanta Nepal, the student body pre termo stanley sident who was voted in on a pro-divestment platform, were spending their energy on applying pressure for a vote in favor of divestment
