I wanted to ask how you all find a trustworthy Nikah Khawan (Marriage registrar) for weddings or court marriages? A cousin of mine recently got married, and finding someone reliable turned out to be more stressful than expected. Some people charge crazy amounts, and others don’t explain the paperwork properly.
We ended up going with a
Nikah Khawan through Nikah Wala, and it actually went really smoothly. He handled everything from the Nikah papers to witnesses. But before that, we met a few who seemed… let’s just say, not very professional. 😅
So I’m curious for those who’ve arranged a Nikah recently, did you find your Khawan through personal contacts, online, or via a service? And what should someone watch out for to avoid being overcharged or scammed?
