Logikmemorial wants to be a gathering place, a new way to preserve the memory of our departed loved ones and friends. A place different from the simple obituaries published by funeral homes or via search engines on the digital web (which only lasts a moment).
You will be able to pay tribute to your departed loved ones simply by scanning the QR code of the plate already installed and geo-located on the funeral monument of the latter, with your smartphone at the place of his final resting place.
This QR code will contain all the information provided and available to the history of the deceased, his memories, photos, videos (videos of ceremonies, videos made by the deceased during his lifetime), anecdotes to which you will be able to add your comments or simply create one and share them with your loved ones, who just like you, will be notified via email of new activities that you will be able to view and comment.

LOGIKMEMORIAL offers a top of the line, superior quality product using only materials and technologies that have proven themselves in the past and still today. These same products and technologies are used such as marking parts for Hydro-Quebec made of aluminum, equipped with a digital QR code. The quick response code (QR) is the central element of LOGIKMEMORIAL‘s operation. This symbol can be read by a special program on your smartphone that extracts a web reference (URL) from the coded black and white squares and then displays the deceased’s web page or memorial in your phone’s browser. To harness the power of QR codes, QR Memorials laser-etches a unique code onto a pre-painted anodized aluminum plate that can be attached to a headstone or other memorial of your departed loved one. The back of the QR plate has a special adhesive that allows it to be attached to the memorial stone. With proper application and placement, this plaque will remain attached regardless of weather conditions. Also take into consideration that there will be 2 different sizes, one for the 3 inch (7,62 cm) x 5 inch (12,7 cm) tombstones and another for the 1 inch (2,54 cm) x 5 inch (12,7 cm) urns. All memorials for the deceased will also be available simply via the Logikmemorial website.

Adding current technology to a memorial that is expected to last hundreds of years poses its own challenges. If the QR code is engraved on the headstone, the code will become difficult to read as the headstone disappears. The headstone will need to be cleaned before the QR code can be accessed. Codes etched into sandstone or granite will weather. One solution might be to lithographically etch the QR code onto coated gold or platinum to keep the code readable, but this might be impractical and expensive. In contrast, LOGIKMEMORIAL uses an anodized and pre-painted aluminum plate to engrave the digital code that will be weather resistant at a lower cost and that all information will still be available.
